Chesterton 16K and 17K Replaceable Bearing Bands Coils is the answer to preventing any repairs on big diameter hydraulic or pneumatic equipment or expensive re-machining. Radial movement and metal to metal scoring is prevented by the split, replaceable bearings to prolong the life of equipment and seal. It has built-in lubricant for lower force of friction.

  9K- Anti-extrusion or backup rings

Chesterton 9K Anti-Extrusion rings is designed to stop any extrusion of O-Rings and seals into equipment clearances while under pressure. The piston and rod seals (found in static or dynamic hydraulic applications) are supported by the individually made rings providing brilliant performance. You will find the rings on the low pressure side of the sealing element they are supporting- they are available in a variety of extrusion resistant materials. 

 

 

 


Compression Seal

20KD - O-ring upgrade, static seal design

Chesterton 20K D-Ring is a seal particularly designed for the use in static applications- usually applied to upgrade conventional seals. For its best performance it should be used in applications such as hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, for example: valves control units or flanges. Low compression set characteristics. Flexibility in order to make any size is due to unique manufacturing process. This D-Ring can be manufactured to suit international requirements such as: DIN and ISO.

 

 

 

Custom Cap Seal (CCS) - Bi-directional, single cavity sealing system

Chesterton Custom Cap Seals are made from second generation PTFE to produce Rod or Piston bi-directional seals. For a superior performance in single groove, double acting hydraulic applications, the seals are all made individually.  

 
 
 

 

Piston Cup

 7K- Single acting piston cup with supporting brass disc

Chesterton 7K optimizes sealing forces because of it’s single acting, piston cup and flared lip design properties. For its best performance it should be used in applications such as hydraulic or pneumatic equipment. This seals performance is improved purely by the molded design which is supplied with a supporting metallic brass disc. A stable, anti-extrusion resistant seal is provided by the rigid base.

 27K - Single acting, split stacked hydraulic set

Chesterton 27K and 8K V-Ring provides optimum operating performance because of its positive rake design. For a longer sealing life (with minimum gland pressure) these designs make contact through the center unlike conventional stacked sets. It performs excellently on hydraulic applications and can be available in split or solid designs. For easy installation, its delivered as split components.

 10K - Single-acting, u-cups for hydraulic/pneumatic presses

Chesterton 10K Super Monoseal and 22KN are both single-acting, u-cup deigns. For the best amount of radial sealing load with minimal frictional resistance it’s a positive rake. In both hydraulic and pneumatic applications it works perfectly as the design is offered as a rod or piston seal. The positive rake design removes contaminations away from the surface. Any size can be created due to the machining process.  

 


 


 22K - Single-acting, u-cup for hydraulic cylinders/presses

Chesterton 22K is a single-acting design which prevents leakage throughout the entire operation due to its special lip geometry. The negative rake design makes the installation easy as possible while the sturdy, static lip secures the seal to prevent rolling. It works perfectly as the design is offered as a rod or piston seal. Any size can be created due to the machining process, this doesn’t even involve any tooling costs. 
            

    

 

 


 22KE - Single-acting, u-cup eliminates low pressure leakage

Chesterton 22KE is a single-acting design which aims to increase pre-load abilities for low pressure because of the O-Ring that’s incorporated energizes the seal. . It works perfectly as the design is offered as a rod or piston seal in hydraulic applications.

 

 

 


 22KN - Single-acting, u-cups for hydraulic/pneumatic presses

Chesterton 22KN Super Monoseal and 10K are both single-acting, u-cup deigns. For the best amount of radial sealing load with minimal frictional resistance it’s a positive rake. Chesterton 23K is a single-acting seal designed to give the best possible sealing performance for low pressure applications with it’s incorporated unique dynamic lip geometry. Any size based on equipment dimensions can be created due to the machining process. A constant lubricating film, which minimizes operating temperature and gives an excellent sealing quality, is down to the raduised lip design.  


 

 


Rod Seals / Stacked Sets

 11K - Single acting, dual polymer split hydraulic seal

Chesterton 11K EZ Stack Pack is a seal particularly designed for use in hydraulic cylinder and press applications made up of 2 components. It’s design purposes was to lower operating costs and promote machine productivity. For easy installation, it comes as 2 components. Its effectiveness means it can work on both new and old equipment. 

 

 
 

 600 - Single acting, split stacked hydraulic set for worn equipment

Chesterton 600 Parachute Packing is a V-Ring set for hydraulic applications. It can seal older worn equipment as well as brand new equipment. Odd sized rams were equipment cannot be disassembled and stuffing boxes are the most adaptable. It performs well in water and oil as it’s a neoprene based material. For easy installation, it comes as 2 components.

 


 


 

 6K - Single-acting, u-cup for worn hydraulic equipment

Chesterton 6K is a single-acting rod seal with a design that can remove contamination from the surface while in operation. The nubber base means its brilliant for older worn equipment as it will control any leakage. Its positive rake profile will remove contamination from the surface. It can perform well in water and oil as it’s made from Neoprene based materials.

 21K - Abrasion resistant wiper for hydraulic and pneumatic applications

Chesterton’s 21K Positive Rake Wiper is deigned to stop scoring and system contamination as it effectively cleans and shifts and the foreign matter from retracting. To prevent system contamination and future equipment failure, this design includes a sharp, rugged, flare profile protection against abrasive particles. These wipes perform perfectly on hydraulic and pneumatics applications. These are all individually made

Rotary Seals

Bearing / Gearbox Protection

 30K - Continuous  design, high performance lip seal

Chesterton’s 30K’s High Performing Lip Seals are suited for the changing in progress for rotary seal applications. For best services these should be used in bearing and gear box applications that make effective use of conventional oil lip seals. It’s purpose is to provide optimal sealing force and can be produced in 4 distinct PTFE materials designed specifically for sealing applications. 

 
 
 
 

33K - Split seal design for bearing and gearbox protection

Chesterton 33K Patent Pending Split Rotary seal is designed for use on non-pressure applications including gearboxes, rollers and bearing protection for pumps. This design improves seal performance of conventional lip seals, therefore, reducing any maintenance needs and costs. Because the split assembly is unitized, it makes installation a lot quicker and easier



 

 


Restrictor Bushing

 14K - restrictor bushings for rotary equipment

Chesterton 14K are restrictor bushings specifically designed to form a restriction between the fluid in the mixing tank and the sealing device in the stuffing box in rotary equipment. The restriction formed prevents abrasive particles from entering the stuffing box area. Pump efficiency is increased because the tapered lip seal controls fluid bypass.  


 

 


Spring Energized Seals

 100 Series - Cantilever spring energized seals, highly dynamic applications

100 Series Cantilever Spring energized seals are mainly used in constant changing applications for rotary and forward/backward movement equipment. This particular design reaches high deflection with minimal loading. With its unique attributes (which prolongs hardware and seal life) it’s most popular series for spring energized seal designs. It has a variety of designs: piston, static seals, rod and flange. 

 

 

 


 200 Series - Elliptical coil spring energized seals, accommodates excessive tolerances or misalignment


200 Series Elliptical Coil Spring energized seals are popular for rotary, static and back/forward moving applications- where s miniature seal is required. Minimal deflection while applying intermediate loads is allowed by the spring design. It’s designed to assist equipment for plant-wide usage. 

 

 


 300 Series - Helical wound spring energized seals, slow speed and static applications

300 Series Helical Wound Spring energized seals are mainly used in slow speeds, severely low temperatures and static applications. Because of its excellent capabilities with minimal deflection, it can also be used in infrequent changing conditions- however, this is only when friction and wear are secondary concerns. 

 

 


 400 Series - High performance, multi-purpose rotary seals

400 Series High Performing, Multi-purpose rotary seals is particularly designed for use in changing movement applications to provide optimal sealing force. This series has excellent fluid compatibility and high quality performance because of the combination of the materials used and the superior seal design. 

 

 


 500 Series - High performance, multi-purpose stacked sets

500 Series High Performing, Multi-purpose stacked V-Ring sets particularly design to assist deep stuffing boxes with hardware. Depending on your requirements, this seal is available in both solid and split designs and are used on both rotary and backward/forward applications.
